Position Summary
Encore VFX has a position in its CFX Department. Encore is an Emmy award winning VFX house, providing outstanding visual effects work for television and motion pictures. We currently have an opening for a CFX Artist, preferably with a background and experience in VFX. This is a remote position.
Main Duties
- Work within the fast-paced show structure and production deadlines
- Create cloth and hair simulation setups
- Create crowd setups and simulate shots
- Work closely with TDs, taking direction from Leads and Supervisors
- Develops generalized tools used in CFX to enhance the production pipeline
- Creatively problem solves and troubleshoots independently
- Demonstrates artistic vision and ability to streamline setups and shots
What You Bring
- Previous experience in CFX for episodic TV, features and or commercials
- Strong knowledge of Maya, Houdini and Renderman a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, work independently and within a group, and deliver within tight deadlines
