GAME DESIGNER

Shiro Games are the creators of Evoland, Wartales and the multi million seller Northgard. Since 2012, we have created games that personally appeal to us, with small development teams. We work fast, but we never crunch.

We are looking for a talented and experienced game designer to work on an unannounced project. You must be a multi-talented designer with the ability to adapt to various forms of content or systems design. You have a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, outstanding people skills, boundless creativity, a strong visual aesthetic, and a longstanding passion for playing games.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Creative Director, as well as Programmers and Artists on design specifications and implementation.
• Design and iterate on gameplay systems to create a world class gaming experience.
• Practice iterative design techniques to integrate player feedback and playtest data.
• Maintain a high level of quality while working with design and technical constraints.

Requirements

• At least 3 years in a Game Designer role with at least 1 shipped title (mandatory).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Extensive content and systems design experience. Ideally someone who has creatively owned complete implementations from concept to delivery.
• Able to work creatively in a demanding team environment.
• Absolute passion for playing and making computer games.
